Chairman Kishan speaks to Primedia Broadcasting about staying safe at the beach this summer.
Ryle De Morny from False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club chats about defending his two World Championship Titles (Beach Flags and Beach Sprints) and being the fastest man on sand.
Ryle is appealing to all to make a donation toward this trip to the Netherlands in September for his successful title defence.
Ryle talking about defending his World Champs titles at this year’s Rescue 2016 in the Netherlands and where his lifesaving days began.
Ryle is still some way short of reaching his financial goal to get him to World Champs.
Following a stellar performance at Rescue 2014 where Ryle not only successfully defended his beach flags title, but also came away with the beach sprints title, SASCOC’s Mark Etheridge published an adulatory piece describing him as the stand out performer of the National Team.
It was some well deserved recognition for an incredible achievement of pulling of the virtually unheard of ‘Beach Double’! Check out the link to the article below:

In the build up to Rescue 2014, Andrew Crook, Lifesaving South Africa team selector, and our very own speedster, Ryle De Morny were interviewed on Sports Federation TV. The show is aired on Cape Town TV and aims to highlight sport in the Western Province.
Ryle and Andrew shed some light on what it’s like to compete in lifesaving, the ins and outs of training and what to expect at the upcoming World Championships. Great to see lifesaving getting some much needed attention and sharing what we do with the public!

Once again, we would like to congratulate Ryle De Morny on his inclusion in the Rescue 2014 team to represent South Africa at the World Lifesaving Championships! It is an incredible achievement and the club wishes him well in his preparation.
