Sponsorship Opportunities
at False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club

False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club, established in 1959, is a voluntary non-profit organisation with more than 50 lifeguard members having patrolled and protected beach goers at Muizenberg Beach, Cape Town for over 50 years.

We continue to keep our beach safe by creating safe swimming areas, implementing preventative drowning procedures and performing rescues when required. Our secondary purpose is to train and develop future lifeguards from our community each year, thanks to the tireless work of our volunteer lifeguards and the minimal financial support achieved through various internal fundraising efforts and small ad-hoc donations.

We are in a phase of rapid growth and development, looking to increase the size and scope of our operations, enabling a greater positive impact on our community. This coincides with our success within the lifesaving-sport arena, where we have nurtured National Champions and World Champions from within our community, with the team achieving a monumental 5th place overall at World Lifesaving Championships in Netherlands.

” To achieve our goals, we are looking to build a long-term partnership with a sponsor who could align themselves with the reputation of a South African lifesaving icon, and who would like to embrace the community, goodwill and brand attributes that define surf lifesaving in our Country, to enjoy the mutual benefit provided to the community through False Bay Surf Lifesaving Club. “

We are a registered Non-Profit Organisation: 137-145
and Public Benefit Organisation: 930048256

Our funding needs relate specifically to these focus areas:

Training and upskilling current lifeguards with advanced qualifications

Donations and Sponsorship for Touring Sports Teams

Community Association and Integration Programmes

(e.g. Learn to Swim lessons)

Branding and Visibility

(e.g. on clubhouse)

Duty Uniforms

” Community driven at heart, we believe we can make a difference in people’s lives through giving them the opportunity to experience being a lifeguard, and the responsibility of knowing how to save a life.
Lifesaving is different because it teaches a valuable life skill, and opens doors to so many more opportunities for kids from the community.
– Kishan Kalan, Chairman F.B.S.L.C.
